SciFi and Fantasy Art And To Dust Everything Turns... by Joana Figueiredo

Man has been abusing and using Nature for centuries, hurting our planet without compassion; now time has come for him to pay for his crimes agaisnt Earth, all he did will turn on himself and Mother Earth will show him that he is never, ever going to control what's around him for as the rules are set by Her and only Her, and the climatic consequences of the abnormal increment of the Greenhouse effect are just one of the signs.

This is like, the 3rd time I revamp this picture, I just like the message so much that I can't get rid of it but the artwork gets old and ugly so I just keep drawing new versions, I like this one way better than the other two. I wanted to go for a kind of unicorn/zebra/horse like creature, I like the result. The background also turned much nicer than on the other pictures.

30 May 2007	Ashley 'Ariarnith Silver Flame' Mutek	Loading... I love seeing the progression of your artwork through this idea. Each version has been better than the last. I like the cracked ground. Although, it looks a little too orderly. If you revamp this one again (I'm thinking you might if this is number 3), try making the edges of the cracks a little more jagged and uneven. The unicorn himself looks excellent. Nice work shading the black and white stripes and making them look like they belong on the same animal. (Hope that makes sense). Joana Figueiredo replies: "Thank you so much Ashley! I'll try to keep that in mind the next time I revamp this. I think that, has long as this gallery exists, I'll keep revamping this one. And that made sense, don't worry, it's hard to shade stripped animals and get the stripes looking like they do belong to it, that's something that I'm always trying to improve whenever I revamp this. Thank you again!"
